Series Muse: Bomb Girls

Hey there, darlings. Today is the second of May. Can you believe that? I turned twenty a whole month ago. I haven't been blogging much lately, simply because I've been busy. I started a new job a few weeks ago working full time hours. It's not my dream job, but I'm content for the time being until I save up money and work on finding something more permanent.

Lately after coming home from work, I've found myself tuning into the Canadian series Bomb Girls on Netflix. The series is about a group of women who work in a Canadian munitions factory at the beginning of World War II. I'd never heard of the show until my boyfriend's mother actually recommended it to me. Oftentimes, I watch just to look at the wardrobe styling. As you may know, the '40s is my favorite era when it comes to fashion, and I get much of my day-to-day inspiration from that time period. Red lips, red nails, roller-curled hair, and an hourglass silhouette are everyday basics for me.

So far, my favorite character is Vera - and not just because of her amazing wardrobe. I can really relate to some of her hardships in the show. She's just my kinda girl.

My favorite set is the rooming house - I love how they used 1940s wallpaper and took doors from old houses to give it a more "lived in" authenticity. Working on a show like this is my dream job. *sigh* One day!
Who is your favorite Bomb Girls character? Which wardrobe piece from the show would you most like to have in your own closet?
